This article from BBC starts off by stating that Mehdi Karroubi, the leader in charge of the opposition against the elected President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is to remain "defiant despite threats, and that he and his family are 'prepared for any disaster'." The Iranian protest movement against President Ahmadinejad has developed into an enormous challenge for the Iranian Government. So far, thousands of people have been arrested and dozens have been killed. Government officials have began calling Karroubi and his followers as "mohareb." These moharebs are said to be "enemies of God who can be sentenced to death under Iran's Sharia law."
